More than a week ago, Celine Dion amazed the audience of the Billboard Music Awards with her interpretation of the unforgettable My Heart Will Go On twenty years after the release of Titanic, the iconic film at the 11 Oscars.
A few days after this moment of anthology, the famous Quebec singer once again enchanted the public but this time, that of Caesars Palace where she performs frequently since 2003. Indeed, on May 25, the star delivered a performance rich in emotions by singing for the first time live "How Does A Moment Last Forever", the song of the film "Beauty and the Beast" of Disney released last March.
Celine Dion took this opportunity to allude to her own participation in the soundtrack of the animated film dating from 1991. The singer then explains: "I am very nervous and very excited at the same time… 25 years ago, I had the incredible chance to lend my voice to this magical film, "Beauty and the Beast". It was one of the defining moments of my career, I'm so grateful." We recall that Celine Dion had received the Oscar for Best Song in 1991 thanks to the Disney cartoon!
For this fabulous occasion, Celine Dion was dressed in a yellow evening dress like the one worn by Belle in this little gem of cinema that reached a real record at the world box office!This little sartorial wink also contributed to the magic of the evening.
A magical interpretation
The Quebec singer did not fail to express her immense joy to have been chosen by the studio with big ears to interpret the song of the film. "25 years later, Disney asked me again to record another song (for live action). You put yourself in my shoes, I couldn't refuse. (..) I'd love to sing it for you tonight, for the first time."
His nearly 3-minute performance was accompanied by excerpts from the film starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens. This obviously echoed his mythical interpretation of "Beauty and the Beast" in duet with Peabo Bryson.
Following this nice surprise, the reactions were unanimous. Whether in the room or on the Internet via social networks, fans were conquered!
