The most elegant and crazy English intelligence agency returns to the big screen. The first trailer of Kingsman: The Golden Circle, second installment of the saga and unveiled by 20th Century Fox on Tuesday, promises a cocktail of action and irreverent humor that made the success of the first part!
It was the good surprise of 2015. A small outsider entitled Kingsman: Secret Service, adapted from the comic book by Mark Millar, captivated the audience. With $400 million in worldwide revenue on the "modest" $81 million budget, director Matthew Vaughn immediately said "YES!" for a new episode. And that's how Kingsman: The Golden Circle came into being. It is then the direct continuation of the first vitaminized adventures of the elite of the British intelligence in 3-piece suit.
Kingsman 2, a highly anticipated sequel
Vaughn keeps the master ingredients of his recipe that had ensured the success of his first blockbuster namely stunts galore, duels of guns in slow motion and outrageous lines. All accompanied by the famous "My Way" by Frank Sinatra. It is therefore a film that promises to be as tasty as the first and where the shift is assured!
In this new opus, "Eggly" (still played by Taron Egerton) puts on his knot to defend the interest of the Kingsman agency in the face of a new and terrible threat. We will then, in this new part, take the direction of the USA because the headquarters of the Londoners Kingsmen is greatly destroyed by bombs. Therefore, our protagonists have no choice: they will have to ally themselves with their American alter egos, the Statesmen. The latter do not wear a chic suit but have rather opted for the stretson (famous headgear of cowboys) to face this enemy still unknown. Yeeha!
Question casting, exit Samuel L. Jackson yet enjoyable in the role of Richmond Valentine. On the other hand, we will find Julianne Moore in the role of Nemesis determined to conquer the world. Just that… Unfortunately, we do not have additional information about this new antagonist but we hope that it will be as burlesque as its predecessor.
There are also other new faces in the cast such as Jeff Bridges, Halle Berry or one of the mascots of Hollywood, Channing Tatum. Small surprise: Elton John will also be part of this fine team and will therefore find himself in this new feature film.
What about the presence of Colin Firth in the film. Left for dead in the first part, the one who played the role of Galahad, Eggsy's mentor, would make a remarkable return in this second opus more elegant than ever with his eyepatch of the most beautiful effect!
To be fixed on the fate of Galahad, it will be necessary to wait until October 11. In the meantime, we can wait by watching the trailer of the last part entitled Kingsman: The Golden Heart while whistling "My Way" by Sinatra !
