It's official! The adventures of John Wick will continue with a 5th part, whose shooting will begin following the fourth film. Expected in France for May 25, 2022, the fourth installment has not even seen its shooting begin yet that a fifth film has already been officially announced by Lionsgate director John Feltheimer during a press conference:
"We are currently preparing scripts for the next two sequels in our John Wick franchise, while John Wick 4 will be released during Memorial Day weekend in 2022. We hope to shoot John Wick 4 and 5 back-to-back when Keanu is available early next year."
It must be said that the actor's schedule is quite busy. Currently taken on the set of Matrix 4, directed by Lana Wachowski – scheduled for March 30, 2022 -, Reeves was initially scheduled to continue with John Wick 4. But the coronavirus pandemic has halted all sets and pushed back the release date of the two films, which are expected to land in theaters on the same day in 2021. If we still do not know the identity of the members of the cast, we bet strongly that Chad Stahelski, director of the first three parts, will again be behind the camera. While waiting for the return of Keanu Reeves in John Wick and Neo, the star will return alongside Alex Winter in Bill & Ted Face the Music, the third opus of the adventures of the comedy duo. It is recalled that the first film, very popular across the Atlantic, was released in 1989. The film does not yet have a date in France.
