Surpassing some directors such as Christopher Nolan or Dennis Villeneuve, Danny Boyle was awarded the direction of the highly anticipated new James Bond feature film.
After the success of the last two James Bonds, Skyfall and Spectre, it was appropriate to bet on a new episode. To tackle the realization of the 25th episode of the franchise, a director, Danny Boyle. With blockbuster films like Trainspotting and the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire, he was chosen by MGM to work on the new film.
Little information about James Bond 25
It is to the American magazine Metro that he confides on the progress of the film:
"I'm working on a script by Richard Curtis right now. We hope to shoot it in 6 or 7 weeks. Then Bond at the end of the year. We're working on both right now."
The director will team up with John Hodge. The duo has already collaborated many times on Boyle's films: Trainspotting and its sequel T2 Transpotting, or Trance among others.
"He's writing it right now … It would be silly of me to tell you more."
For the casting, we don't know much either. Daniel Craig will be back for the fifth and final time as Agent 007. This will not be the case for Christopher Waltz. The actor had played Oberhauser, a.k.a Blofeld, one of the main antagonists of the spy. The character has been used many times in the franchise. A younger actor would be targeted to reprise the role in this 25th film.
Despite the lack of information, the film is scheduled for a U.S. theatrical release on November 8, 2019. No French release has yet been announced. A little more patience!
