The synopsis shows that the feature film will only dwell on a very short period of the life of the first lady since it will deal with the 4 days that will take place between the death and the funeral of her husband. In addition to a physique similar to this important female figure in American history, Nathalie Portman shows once again after Black Swan the extent of her talent. She seems to have no trouble transcribing many of the emotions through which Kennedy's widow has passed.
The film, which has already been awarded at the Venice Film Festival and the Toronto Film Festival, is expected to garner some nominations at the Golden Globes and Oscars.The cast as a whole is high-flying since we will find Billy Crudup (far too rare in the cinema), John Hurt, Peter Saarsgard or Greta Gerwig.
Jackie won't be released in France until February 1, 2017. It will be distributed by bacfilms.
