This summer, director Luc Besson plunges back into the world of science fiction with his new film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. It will also be the 20th anniversary of his fabulous film The 5th Element, released in 1997. Pure chance or thoughtful coincidence? In any case, Fathom Events is preparing a little surprise for the occasion…
Fathom Events has therefore decided to pay tribute to Luc Besson. To celebrate the 5th Element's anniversary, the company will air it for two days, namely May 14 and 17 at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. (US time). The screening will offer us a restored version of the film in 4K edition. Before The 5th Element was screened in theaters, Fathom Events also decided to broadcast an excerpt from Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. For lucky spectators, this is a huge bonus! Indeed, it allows both to show the incredible work of the director, to compare his two great films but also to ensure the promotion of Besson's new film.
While waiting for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets to finally arrive in our French cinemas, let's (re)discover together without further delay the trailer, as well as that of the mythical 5th element.
