Will leave, won't leave? Henry Cavill seemed determined to give up his role as Superman. Although DC Studios has not confirmed the rumor, new names are already circulating to interpret the next Iron Man. However, Henry Cavill has published a video that leaves the possibility of a return…
The Hollywood Reporter says that Henry Cavill will no longer play Superman. The actor has participated in three DC movies in his vigilante tights: Man of Steel, Batman V Superman and Justice League. None of the three films was a resounding success. Fans agree that Henry Cavill's performance was appreciable. The latter was to star in two additional films: Man of Steel 2 and Justice League 2. The projects of DC studios, however, are undermined. The actor would have decided to leave this heroic universe. Some highlight the actor's various projects: he recently played in Mission Impossible: Fallout and he has committed to a Netflix series, an adaptation of the saga The Witcher. His schedule would no longer allow him to play the Kryptonian heroes.

A final decision?
Despite this various news, doubt still looms. Henry Cavill has indeed posted a rather cryptic video on his Instagram account. The actor is seen proudly wearing a "Krypton lifting team" t-shirt and lifting a Superman figurine with his image. A way of saying he's still Superman? The number of messages under the video shows that fans are very hopeful. No one, whether Henry Cavill, his agent or DC Studios, wanted to confirm or deny the various information circulating on the Web. Regardless, Superman's on-screen future seems to be in jeopardy. At best, sequels will be delayed, at worst they will be canceled, and DC has to organize a new reboot. In case of reboot, one name comes back on many lips: that of Michael B. Jordan, much appreciated in his role as Killmonger. A surprising but welcome choice.
While waiting to find out whether or not Henry Cavill is back in service, fans may wonder about the future that DC studios are trying to build.
