While the film has been promoting itself for several weeks now, a new trailer for First Man – The First Man on the Moon is out!
First Man – The First Man on the Moon is one of the most anticipated films of autumn 2018: retracing the sensational story of Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, this film brings together a breathtaking cast at the heart of an intense story. Indeed, Ryan Gosling (Blade Runner 2049) in the role of astronaut Neil Armstrong and Claire Foy (The Crown) in the role of Janet Armstrong, his wife.
The first images revealed by a trailer in June had already been more than enough to make an effect on the general public. The cinematographic talent of director Damien Chazelle is no longer to prove, everything leads to believe that First Man will be a success.
For the little historical reminder, the mission of which Neil Armstrong was part was named Apollo 11 and is the space mission that led to the first steps on the Moon. The event took place on July 20, 1969 and was highly publicized. The general euphoria around this success has strongly marked the spirits but much less is known about the exact course of the mission between the point of departure and the point of arrival.
Damien Chazelle will therefore focus mainly on the anxiety and apprehension around the preparation and implementation of the mission, rather than on the success of Apollo 11 itself.
First Man – The first man on the Moon will be released in France on October 17, 2018. In the meantime, check out the latest trailer for the film below!
