This end of the year is conducive to nuggets. The current situation leads to the absence of large foreign productions. It is a chance for humbler achievements to break through. We can discover more young talents. Gagarin, which will be in theaters on November 25, is one of those finds. The duo Fanny Liatard and Jérémy Trouilh delivers their first feature film. And this achievement is labeled Cannes 2020. A proof of the talent of these new directors. Gagarin's starting premise goes against the tide of films like Les Misérables or Bac Nord. The action takes place in the cities but tackles a different genre, the metaphysical drama. Synopsis: The story focuses on Yuri, a 16-year-old who dreams of becoming a cosmonaut. He goes to "war" from the moment he learns that his city is going to be destroyed. Supported by his loved ones, he will do everything to preserve his "spaceship".  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIJ6n6q9Cp8&feature=youtu.be&ab_channel=HautetCourt The trailer is most effective and transports us on the notes of the Beautiful Blue Danube by Johann Strauss II.  The staging is not classic, several creative moments stand out in these images. It seems difficult at times to know what is real and what is not. The cast is promising. In addition to the main protagonist, Alséni Bathily (a newcomer), there are two leading figures of the French up-and-comers. The talented Lyna Khoudri (disturbing in Papicha) and the one who has excelled in many films for several years now, Finnegan Oldfield. It's easy to get caught up in the special atmosphere of the trailer. Gagarin (in reference as you assume to the famous Russian cosmonaut) has everything of the film that may mark our minds. The film is distributed in France by Haut et court.
