The start of the 2017 school year will start in the most beautiful way with the opening of the 43rd edition of the Deauville festival. Among the highlights of this event, we will not want to miss the tribute to Darren Aronofsky, the director who will make his return with the horror thriller Mother.

9 years ago, the American director was crowned with the Golden Lion in Venice for The Wrestler, an intense drama that allowed Mickey Rourke to return to the front of the stage. However, it was not his first stroke of brilliance since he distinguished himself from the release of his first feature film in 1998. Since then, he has continued to build a particular filmography where each of his films reveals specific qualities: great mastery and careful aesthetics.

Three years after his first critical failure, the artist returns this year with Mother which will be screened in his presence. The film is carried by a cast of high quality since it includes Javier Bardem and Jennifer Lawrence. The regularly awarded duo is accompanied by two veterans of the seventh art, Ed Harris (impeccable in the series Westworld on HBO this year) and Michelle Pfeiffer.

The trailer recently posted on the web is most successful. We follow a couple whose tranquility is questioned following the arrival of several guests.
