The OSS (Ortigia Sound System), the electronic music festival returns for the fifth year from July 25 to 29 in Ortigia, the island of Syracuse in Sicily. On the menu, five days of madness with concerts, DJ sets, water parties, conferences in a city classified as a World Heritage Site and its almost 3000 years of history.
Sicily, its dream beaches, its temples, its charming cities, its benevolent people and… its electronic music festival. And not in any place, on the island of Ortigia, the old town of Syracuse. It is in this ancient city that the beats of the Ortigia Sound System festival will shake these walls two thousand years old. For this fifth edition, the festival is packing its bags in the middle of summer, from July 25 to 29. On the menu, chill and relaxed atmosphere, artistic performances, unforgettable sunsets and… swimming from boat parties in Syracuse Bay.
It is therefore for five days that Mediterranean rhythms will mix with electronic music in this crossroads of European culture. Last year, more than 9000 visitors came from 15 different countries to vibrate in the waters of the bay, in the Maniace castle or the old market of Ortigia. In addition to these places, the festival will this year invest the former cloister of St. Francis of Assisi in the historic center of the city.

And to set the bar a little higher, the Ortigia Sound System has a program as eclectic as it is surprising. Headlining will be Hot Chip's Megamix project and the exclusive boat concert of the French band Nouvelle Vague on the opening night of the festival on the shores of the city. There will also be Young Marco for 4 hours of set, Suzanne Kraft, Zaltan, DJ Seinfeld, Nathy Peluso, Mim Suleiman, C'est Qui, James Holden & The Animal Spirits, Erlend Øye, Omar Souleyman and Kamaal Williams. The last of the seven boat parties of the festival will host DJ Seinfeld at the closing.
