Have you noticed? Quebec is becoming more and more trendy and Paris is no exception: the capital has fallen for the culture and openness of this region of the world. The Office Franco Québécois pour la Jeunesse (OFQJ) celebrates its 50th anniversary and organizes for the occasion an evening with 2 incredible concerts.
The Frosty Night: a unifying event
For 50 years, the OFQJ has been working to help young people find their place by allowing many young people to accomplish their projects each year by creating privileged relationships between France and Quebec.
Created in 1968, the OFQJ invites young people aged 18 to 35 from the 2 countries to meet and discover their differences but above all facilitates the support of young people in their mobility projects between France and Quebec. A real opportunity for those who would like to try their luck on the other side of the Atlantic and flourish in a new environment.
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the OFQJ has decided to do things big this year and it is at the New Morning that it will happen! To be expected: an evening full of surprises, Quebec specialties and … a contest that will allow two participants to win a round-trip plane ticket to Montreal.
The profits from this evening will be used to finance the realization of a Franco-Quebec solidarity project initiated by the OFQJ in France in 2018.

Two concerts not to be missed at the Nuit Givrée
What could be more normal for the OFQJ to invite a French and Quebec group to share the same stage. And in terms of programming, we can say that the public will be spoiled!
Lyre Le Temps
Lyre Le Temps is one of the flagship bands of the French electro-swing scene. At the controls, 4 completely frosted musicians who also merge electro, jazz and hip-hop to perfection in a swing atmosphere with all that is more classic: brass, double basses are associated with lines of electro synths and delirious scratch.
We last saw them at Solidays 2014. We kept an imperishable memory of their energy on stage! Two albums later, here they are back with a third opus: Prohibition Swing plunges us back into the 30s, where prohibition was de rigueur in the USA. Pure auditory bliss!
Valary
Valaire, is a Quebec band, originally from Sherbrooke, with multiple influences. Indeed, he succeeds in brilliantly mixing different styles: electro-jazz-hip-hop-rock, such is the definition that could be given to Valaire's music. All sprinkled with unusual sound extracts !!
Valaire, formerly Misteur Valaire , has been an ambassador for the OFQJ since 2010. It was therefore quite legitimate for the group to be among the guests of this Nuit Givrée. The band will take the opportunity to promote their brand new album Oobopopop available since September 16, 2017.
