Surfing on the digital age and the dematerialization of works of art, e-cinéma.com arrives on December 1st with a simple but ambitious goal: to become the first online cinema.
The cinema has been inseparable from the cinema for decades. However, with the advent of digital and the appearance of new media, the paradigm on what cinema really is is changing. In addition, the growing desire of the viewer to discover new films in different ways has already made the success of platforms such as Netflix.E-cinéma.com is therefore placed not as a competitor, but rather as a complement to the cinema.
E-cinema: a complement to the room
In 2016, 700 new films were released in France cinemas. However, the French went to the cinema on average… Three times a year. An absolutely derisory figure when you look at the astronomical number of new releases. The question is: why does the public travel so little in theaters despite such a substantial offer? Three main reasons are due to this slight attendance of dark rooms:
- Family reasons
- Geographical reasons
- Economic reasons
E-cinéma.com therefore aims to overcome these constraints, by offering a selection of new films every week, as cinemas do. It is in this that this structure wishes to complement the cinemas.E-cinéma.com also intends to complete the cinemas by offering works without them even having gone through the cinema box. Indeed, unlike its counterparts such as Netflix, e-cinéma.com wants to offer entirely new and exclusive content. In this, this platform offers us a truly new and original service.
The ATAWAD trend
Any Time
Any Where
Any Device
These three components form ATAWAD.
Just like music has done for years, e-cinema intends to embrace the trend of digital and dematerialization. We will therefore be able to find this new platform on computer, television, tablet or mobile phone, so that their selection of original films follows us everywhere and in all circumstances.
E-ticket or PASS-Liberté
Just like for cinema in cinema, e-cinéma.com will have a price and it is already set. spectators will therefore have the choice between the e-ticket or the PASS-Liberté, offering unlimited access.
The e-ticket will therefore cost €5.99 for all Friday releases and will be valid for the duration of the selected film. Once the e-ticket is spent and the film playback has begun, the viewer will have 5 days to see or rewatch the film. It should be noted that the e-ticket will cost €4.99 if purchased in pre-order. This preferential rate will be valid until the day before the release.
Regarding the PASS-Liberté, nothing too complicated: €9.99 per month will offer unlimited access to all the films on the platform. This subscription can be made without commitment in the long term and termination without notice. It should be noted that the first month of trial will be free and that this PASS-Liberté will be € 5.99 during the first three months, to mark the launch of the platform.
Careful and quality selection
Aware of the importance of the stakes, the creators of e-cinema have decided to offer with this platform a selection of quality and from all over the world. We will be able to discover a selection of films from the USA, Iran, Australia, Japan or Norway. This will allow this online movie theater to showcase new film genres as well as new talent. Among the upcoming films, we will be able to find:

So we just have to wait to discover this enticing selection of films, hoping that they will live up to our expectations.
