In recent days, Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that a feature film Hobbs & Shaw 2, starring Jason Statham and himself, is in sight. This is not very surprising given the success of the first part. But the big revelation lies in the return of the iconic screenwriter of the saga. Last weekend, Dwayne Johnson posted a video on Instagram in which he talks about how he missed the role of Jack Reacher in favor of Tom Cruise. He also took the opportunity to share some information about Hobbs & Shaw 2. The Rock first revealed the return of a famous screenwriter who is none other than… Chris Morgan. The latter will be back to write the script for the continuation of the adventures of Hobbs and Shaw.Architect of the Fast & Furious franchise for years (and Tokyo Drift), his participation in the project is not unexpected. Subsequently, Dwayne Johnson also mentioned the existence of new characters:
"Chris Morgan, of course, will come back to write the script for Seven Bucks Productions, which will produce again. We've created a lot of great characters. From the character of Vanessa Kirby to that of Idris Elba to that of Eiza Gonzalez. And now, in this next episode, we still have some surprises and great characters to invent. Not characters Hobbs can just get rid of, because that would be boring, but cool characters, that you're going to fall in love with! Villains, anti-heroes and heroes on all levels."
