After having partly unveiled itself in a poster (making us discover the sweetheart of Krokmou), Dragons 3 is clarified in a first colorful trailer. Focus!

Dragons 3 Affiche Dragons 3: what does the first (superb) trailer suggest?

Two timelines! This is implied by the beginning of the trailer of Dragons 3. We discover an aged Harold, accompanied by his faithful companion Krokmou. The narration suggests that Harold will tell this story to someone. Could it be his child? The bets are open.

However, even if we see an aged Harold, we very quickly return to the time when he was still a young man. It is then on Krokmou that the story focuses, as well as on his encounter with a new white Night Fury (beautiful). Great moments of laughter are already to be expected, given the sluggish side of our favorite dragon. We find his clumsiness, his shyness and his susceptibility when he fails. His facial expressions strongly remind us of those of cats and for good reason: this is what his facial expressions are greatly inspired by.

On the adventure side, it seems that a new villain is in the game, with a serious tooth against the Night Furies. Is it the cause of their virtual disappearance from the face of the globe? To see. What is certain is that there will be a hell of a background to discover about this new antagonist. Then we talk about the "disappearance" of the Night Furies, but we must remember that Dragons 3 is called The Hidden World… Nothing tells us that many Night Furies are not safe from the rest of the world.

However, only one small detail is worrying about this trailer and it always concerns the villain: is it not likely to duplicate Drago, the opponent of Dragons 2 ? Wouldn't it have been more interesting to bring him back for his revenge? After all, Drago is not shown dead at the end of the second game, so his return seems inevitable. Will he be the big villain in the shadows of this final episode? Or is he completely forgotten by the film? We'll have to wait to find out.

Dragons 3 – The Hidden World will be released in theaters on February 6, 2019, again under the direction of Dean DeBlois and DreamWorks Animation. We can only hope that this final opus will be up to the previous two. But in view of the first sumptuous images and the potential presented, there is no doubt that this one will convince us.
