"An internal journey into a dilapidated world, a voice that speaks of yesterday, today, and tomorrow."
This is the summary in one sentence to talk about the short film Damned, available online for a few days. This is a project of a performing arts student, Rémi Santonacci, that he set up with an amateur theatre company from Grenoble, the Compagnie Perdue. The text is signed by the pen of Louis Villenave (co-creator of the project) and the voice that guides us throughout the film is that of Lucas Bustos.
Starting from a different project envisaged the previous year, Damned is a sequence shot filmed in a dilapidated building in the city of Grenoble. With the help of 30 extras and a dozen people in the technical team, this short film of just over 5 minutes takes us on a journey through this building to show us the individuals who live there. Reflecting a constantly changing society whose members seem to no longer know what to do or what to think, Damnés has attracted our attention by its technique and the poetry of the text.
