During the Deauville American Film Festival, several awards are awarded. And as at every international film event, several debate groups are composed. Let's take a look at the Kiehl's Revelation Award Jury.
President of the Jury : Emmanuelle Bercot
We no longer present the actress/screenwriter/director standard-bearer of a new and intelligent French cinema, a pure FEMIS product. Best Actress at Cannes in 2015 for the feminist Mon Roi by Maïwenn, everything she touches turns into gold. Among his creations we remember especially La Tête Haute (2015), his segment of the Infidels with Jean Dujardin and Alexandra Lamy. His latest film, La Fille de Brest, highlights the scandal of the Mediator, with a perfect interpretation of Irène Frachon by Sidse Babett Knudsen.

- Abd Al Malik (Director, rapper, singer-songwriter & author)
The rapper (born Régis Fayette-Mikano) grew up in Strasbourg where he discovered music. His rise was exponential. His first feature film May Allah Bless the France, an adaptation of his autobiographical novel, was released in 2014. In particular, he won the FIPRESCI prize (which promotes genre, risky and personal cinema). Abd Al Malik's film career has only just begun…
- Anaïs Demoustier (actress)
The young French actress (twice nominated for the César for Most Promising Actress) has already toured with the greatest (Claude Miller, Pascale Ferran, François Ozon). This list will grow quickly with film projects directed by Bertrand Blier and Quentin Dupieux (aka Mr. Oizo for the zicos).
- Pio Marmaï (actor)
This son of an artist enjoyed national success with his role as the eldest of siblings in The First Day of the Rest of Your Life (Rémi Bezançon). The double nominated for the César for Most Promising Actor will be in a few months on the poster of Alain Chabat 's new film about a great hero of our youth: Santa Claus !
- Pierre Rochefort (actor and singer)
The son of Nicole Garcia and Jean Rochefort started very young since at 5 years old he appeared in a film of his mother. Creator of the musical label Homworkz, he divides his time between the 7th art and singing. His performance in Un Beau Dimanche earned him the interpretation prize at the Cabourg Festival in 2014.
- Leonor Varela (model, actress)
The charm asset of the jury! This Franco-Chilean started in Chilean series (and had the triumph in Tic Tac). A career that juggles between Hollywood blockbusters (The Tailor of Panama / Blade II) and independent productions or TV series.
A mixed jury of 83% composed of actors! Interpretation will no doubt be the focus of their attention. We will know the lucky winner of this Kiehl's Revelation Award in just under a month. The bets are open. Make your choice!
