The acquisition of Fox by Disney has caused a lot of ink to flow this summer. Many were wondering about the various franchises of the production house and their future under Disney's leadership. Questions had been raised about the fate of Fox superheroes, namely the X-Men franchise and The Fantastic 4. We imagined the integration of these heroes into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ready to fight alongside the Avengers. This idea is now (almost) reality, since new information has been given on the subject.

Imagine a monumental film. A film with Iron Man who fights alongside Wolverine in a New York with fire and blood. Not far away, Deadpool teases Spiderman while Mr. Fantastic supports Dr. Strange in a fierce fight. Tempting isn't it? Well, it will soon be a reality according to Disney CEO Bob Iger.In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the boss of Disney, now considered a leader in terms of entertainment, gave information about the future of the franchises acquired as well as the evolution of Disney in general.

While the release of Avengers 4 is scheduled for next year and the arrival of Captain Marvel in the team is imminent, it is legitimate to wonder if we could see Deadpool in this installment of the Avengers. A priori, unless there is a huge surprise, this will not be the case. Despite a desire to act quickly, discussions between Fox and Disney are on hold. It seems that Fox is well aware of these projects but that the transition is difficult. Fox executives seem to be clinging to their plans for their heroes and don't want to abandon them so easily.

Bob Iger Deadpool and Wolverine at the Avengers: It's moving at Disney!

A project that has not yet fallen by the wayside but that should not happen for a while alas. However, we must not be pessimistic! An entry is prepared and it's the same for mutants. So maybe we will see the notion of mutant put forward little by little in the MCU, or a nod to one of the heroes of Fox in future films to come. Nothing certain for the moment but a future that looks exciting.

Marvel, Fox but not only!

The Bob Iger interview is a great thing for fans and enthusiasts alike. If a man as important as Bob Iger speaks, it is always a great opportunity to realize the health of the company and its evolution, even more so when it is called Disney.Bob Iger therefore highlighted multiple aspects of the company with regard to, for example, Disneyland parks. An aspect that may seem ridiculous but today the question of the sale of alcohol in parks arises. An aspect that can make you laugh (Bob Iger first) but is essential. But today we are interested in the upcoming films! He mentions in particular the Star Wars films which were all released very quickly. A pace that seems too fast with hindsight and which has been evoked with J.J Abrams in the middle of writing the ninth episode.

So Disney is changing and that's a good thing. For such an old company, it is essential to renew itself and take a step back from what it produces in terms of content or even self-image. So, certainly we will not see Logan and Tony Stark together for a while but at Disney, the time is for reflection and evolution!
