[Criticism] The robbery that marked Argentina

Recreation of the heist that marked Argentina, the new film The Heist of The Century by Ariel Winograd, director and screenwriter, is available since September 8, 2021 on the big screens. Between action, stress and some hilarious moments, this film tells the story of 6 men ready to do anything to achieve their goals. Inspired by a true story, a professional robber decides to bond with the best to found the perfect and greatest heist in history. The plan is simple, rob the bank of Rio. They make the perfect plan for months, they face obstacles but nothing stops them. The six men are determined to mark Argentina.

No gun, no grudges.

The film retraces perfectly, except for a few details, the robbery of the six Argentines in 2006. It is easy to see that the research on true history has not been done halfway. The introduction of each character is quite complete, since we quickly understand the stakes of each in this robbery. We follow the 6 men in their personal lives before and after the robbery. In order to immerse ourselves in this time, the décor, the accessories, the style, the environment have been meticulously worked.

The director tried to reconstruct this robbery as best he could. No injuries at the hostage level, each member of the team had a very specific role, the crime scene after the robbery. Indeed, in 2006, the Argentines had left a word that had marked the spirits, intended for the police: No weapons, no grudges. In the film, we see the word: In the neighborhoods of the richards, No weapons, no grudges, It's just money, not love. To close the film, the director does not fail to recall that it is inspired by a true story with a bonus that we all love, images and videos of the real story and some information about the 6 Argentines and the policeman, who had an important role.
