The adventure game Beyond Good and Evil (developed by Ubisoft Studios in 2003) will have its first film in collaboration with Netflix. It is the director of Detective Pikachu who will be in charge of the adaptation. Although we know the director who will be in charge of the film, neither the shooting nor the writing of the script has begun. Netflix is still waiting to recruit writers.

A promising film?

If director Rob Letterman doesn't tell you anything, it's because he has never released a real successful movie except Detective Pikachu or Goosebumps. He is used to handling reality and computer graphics. It is therefore not surprising how much work he will be able to provide in Beyond Good and Evil. But will the film be an animated film or a live-action film?

The history of the game

This is the story of Jade, a journalist who is attacked by the DomZ, who take hostage the orphans in her care with her uncle Pey'j. During the battle, the shield that protected the lighthouse where the orphanage was located is disintegrated, because the protagonist no longer had credit to pay her power supplier. It is in a fierce struggle against a conspiracy government that she will use her martial arts skills. For now we know that the two main characters will be in the poster of the film. As for what remains of respect for history, we do not yet know.

The video game that is long overdue

If Beyond Good and Devil was released in 2008, the second installment of the game is still waiting for fans!Announced at Ubisoft's E3 2017, we don't really know more. The announcement was followed by a trailer, but since E3 2018 we have never heard of the game again. According to some sources, it would not be released until 2021… If this film is expected by many fans, we definitely do not know if it will be enough to make them wait until the publication of BeyondGood and Evil 2!  Read also: An animated series Splinter Cell will arrive soon on Netflix
