Happy Batman Day! Here is what comic book aficionados were able to chant in their hearts on September 17, on the occasion of the day dedicated to the Dark Knight. This day dedicated to the hero of Gotham, created three years ago, falls on a different date each year (July 23 in 2014, September 26 in 2015 and December 17 this year). And to celebrate this event with dignity, Warner Bros has decided to do things big.

First gift to fans: a brand new poster of Lego Batman: The Movie. This project, which is scheduled for release in February 2017, will be the work of Chris McKay, who has already worked on the first installment of The Great Lego Adventure.

The second gift (and not the least) is provided by Zack Snyder himself (Man of Steel, Batman V Superman). This time is the very first photo of the charismatic J.K Simmons (Spiderman 1,2 and 3, Juno, Whiplash) as Commissioner Gordon. A black and white photo, all in sobriety, which presents this new Gordon waiting next to the huge projector dedicated to Batman (to believe that this man sleeps on the spot as we find him in this place). A magnificent photo representative of the work of Snyder, accustomed to the stylization of the image.

The only question now is whether J.K Simmons will manage to take up the torch of a Gary Oldman brimming with talent and having appropriated this role wonderfully in the saga of Christopher Nolan. There is little to worry about, however, J.K Simmons having proven his talent time and time again. The latter also clarified, a short time ago, that this Commissioner Gordon will not be excessively present in Justice League, thus tempering the hopes of fans of a new Gordon as "Badass" as the previous one. Let's hope, however, that a place of choice will be reserved for him for the next Batman movie, scheduled for 2019 and directed by Ben Affleck. Maybe we will have more information about this Batman solo movie on the occasion of the next Batman Day. Answer next year!
