By 2035, poverty is no longer just a concern in France, and it is slowly but surely leading to revolution. Ares is the latest French science fiction film, violent and intriguing.

In a world where poverty and violence reign, the French people manage to entertain themselves thanks to ultra-violent televised fights where fighters are doped legally, and where all shots are allowed.Reda, says Arès, is a veteran who lives on odd jobs as a big arm for the police. Everything will change when his sister is arrested and he must do everything to save her and her daughters. The subject of the film, even if atypical in some aspects, will deal in exaggeration with current events: drugs, poverty, unemployment and everything that concerns the French system today.

10 years after Vilaine, Jean-Patrick Benes returns in a completely different kind of film.Ola Rapace (Skyfall) plays the lead role aka Reda. Eva Lallier (L'Hermine) and Micha Lescot (Saint Laurent, Maestro) will join him. We are therefore eagerly awaiting this enigmatic film for November 23 in theaters.
