Filmmaker Peyton Reed has given some information about his next film: Ant-Man and the Wasp, next adventure of the Marvel hero played by Paul Rudd.
Aficionados of Evangeline Lily and the character of The Wasp (which she will play) will be delighted. Indeed, Peyton Reed has just revealed to Modern Myth Media that the character of the Wasp will be almost as important as Ant-Man, in the continuation of the film he will direct on behalf of Marvel:
"We are very excited to highlight the character of the Wasp. Personally, as a comic book fan, I've always seen the character of Ant-Man and his as a team, and that's what we're showing in Ant-Man and the Wasp. How they work together, what is their personal and professional relationship."
The character of the Wasp towards a solo film?
One thing is certain: The Wasp will be in the place and maybe even for a long time since its involvement should be important enough to see the character in Avengers 3 and 4 that will soon shoot the Russo brothers. So important even, that Peyton Reed continues his interview with these words:
"To show the fully formed Wasp in this film is really exciting. We really want to introduce this character into this universe. We did, but we didn't see it with all its powers. So, for me, she's not a supporting character in Ant-Man and the Wasp. It's almost as much his film as Ant-Man's."
Ant-Man and the Wasp will be released on July 6, 2018 in the USA.
