The idea of adapting one of the most addictive games, Angry Birds, into an animated film is surprising. The transposition of video games to the cinema has never given birth to good realizations. Just refer to the pathetic Pixels released in 2015, which was a real critical and commercial failure. The year 2016 will however see the arrival of two other films drawing their origins in "the tenth art" since Warcraft and Assassin's Creed are on the program of a particularly busy year in blockbusters. Sony studios have bet on the world-famous Angry Birds. This game, which has caused many headaches to its players, was launched in 2009. Three years later, it reached the symbolic figure of one billion downloads. The game has since been declined in multiple versions: Star Wars, Rio, Transformers… Let's be honest, it's hard to understand the point of embarking on such a project. Watching this new trailer, we understand the reasons for the animosity between the birds and these green pigs. We thus grasp the objective of the game which is to destroy the homes of these particular creatures. Despite these explanations, it will be difficult to convince you to take a look at the feature film. In its original version, we find Jason Sudeikis dubbing which is good news. The actor excels in this type of performance which allows him to bring to life the characters he embodies. The rest of the cast includes Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, Bill Hader , and the excellent Peter Dinklage from Game of Thrones.
Official synopsis: This film takes us to an island entirely populated by happy birds that do not fly – or almost. In this paradise, Red, a bird with an anger problem, the very hurried Chuck, and the unpredictable Bomb have always been sidelined. But when mysterious green pigs arrive on the island, it will be the mission of this group of outcasts to discover what the pigs are up to.
