Unfortunately, the documentary world does not benefit from enough France exposure on the web. Among the releases of March, we highly recommend the latest production by Claus Drexel, which takes us closer to the voters of Arizona in 2016.

The context of this documentary film places us in November 2016, as Americans prepare to elect their new president. We enter the heart of Arizona, in the daily life of the inhabitants of a small town. These people uncompromisingly share with the filmmaker their thoughts on the American dream. Some will talk about Donald Trump, others will talk about weapons. The trailer for America stands out for its authenticity and for the themes that the film addresses.

Claus Drexel gives us here a new documentary after the one he had made on homeless lost in a nocturnal, indifferent and beautiful Paris (At the edge of the world).

With the help of Sylvain Lesel (his faithful director of photography) and his producer, the artist succeeds in a tour de force. This meeting with the Rednecks (these Americans very attached to their country as we can see in these few extracts) promises to be intense and poignant. A realistic portrait of an America that we do not know enough in our French countries.

The film was distributed by Diaphana in France and released on March 14.
