We are now less than a month away from the deadline. The most anticipated movie of 2021, Spiderman: No Way Home, is stirring up crowds. Even more than Avengers Endgame, which has unleashed fans. Marvel and Sony have released, on the night of November 17, a new trailer of the film that will be released on December 15, 2021 in France. New elements have been added, but questions remain outstanding. Details of films and series are also important to know before going to meet Tom Holland in theaters. So let's go for a recap of everything you need to know before going to see Spiderman: No Way Home.
An explosive trailer
The next film, featuring the spider man, unleashes networks and fans of the saga. The new trailer did not mitigate this crowd effect, which was not the objective, quite the contrary! A world premiere was organized in Los-Angeles… For a trailer. This event alone shows the effect this film has on viewers. Let's see what to remember from this new trailer.
From the beginning of the trailer, a dark atmosphere is installed. We can feel that the scale of the film exceeds that of its predecessors, and that serious events happen following the last film Spiderman: Far From Home. As a reminder, the main character has his superhero identity unveiled by Mysterio. The story will pick up from this event, with Peter Parker's head displayed on all the tall buildings of New York. Revelation that will lead the superhero to visit Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to repair this event. He then asks the wizard to make the world forget his identity as a superhero. Request that will have large-scale repercussions, as shown in the trailer.
The Sinister Six reunited
Another important point of the trailer: the return of the greatest villains of Spiderman. But we will not find only those that Tom Holland meets in his saga. The trailer shows the return of Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) and the Sandman (Thomas Haden Church) from the first films with Tobey Maguire, dating from 2002, 2004 and 2007. You can also find films from Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spiderman, the Lizard (Rhys Ifans) and Electro (Jamie Foxx).
Only Venom is missing. But, spoiler alert, the post-credit scene of the movie Venom: Let be there Carnage, shows that Eddy Brock, played by Tom Hardy, finds himself traveling in the multiverse without his knowledge, in the universe of Tom Holland's Spiderman, whose identity has been revealed. Questions about his presence in the film therefore arise.
A fall already seen
Did you also cry at the brutal death of Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) at the end of The Amazing Spiderman 2 ? Prepare yourself then because we are not at the end of our troubles. The teaser shows us a fall of MJ, with important similarities to that of Andrew Garfield's blonde girlfriend, which could be fatal. Will Peter Parker succeed in saving her this time? You will have to go see the film in theaters to discover it!
Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield absent
A question remains: will the other two actors of Spiderman resume their roles? You and I are just waiting for that, to finally realize the famous meme that has been igniting the web for months. But still, they are still not present in the second trailer. Many are those who have been waiting for them, especially since the villains of Spiderman have all been confirmed, except for Venom. But theories lie on all sides on false fittings of the trailer. And you know that Marvel and Sony are good at modifying the trailers so as not to reveal too much (as for Avengers Endgame for example). A hope remains in the minds of fans to see the three actors side by side… See you on December 15 to find out!
The multiverse at the heart of the plot
As you might have guessed, the multiverse is at the center of the film's storyline. But it's not the first Marvel production, or Sony, that introduces it. It is in the Marvel series that the multiverse is introduced, starting with Wanda Vision, or even What If…?. But it is in the Loki series that it is really treated and that you can find a simple explanation of its stakes. We therefore strongly advise you to watch this series of 6 episodes, if you have not already done so, to learn more about the Multiverse, and not be lost during your future viewing.
Then? Are you looking forward to it too? In the meantime, we leave you on this famous trailer that has been unleashing the web for a few days.
