Deadpool: A petition for Tarantino to realize, a good idea?

At the moment a petition of fans is circulating for Deadpool 2 to be directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Indeed, Tim Miller, the director of the first opus, who was to resume his place behind the camera for this sequel, abandoned the project in which he was very involved and especially very motivated, because of artistic disagreements with Ryan Reynolds, co-producer of the film and interpreter of the character.

Tim Miller is no longer in the game, and we need a new director at the helm. That's where fans went with a crazy idea, to motivate Quentin Tarantino to make Deadpool 2. The filmmaker, known in particular for the violence of his films and his irreverent side, could actually suit the mercenary in tights.

Raw and uninhibited violence:

QT has created a style through violence, always playing very cleverly between a very raw realism and a cartoon side always very funny. Hemoglobin is always flowing, its violence is not distilled and always appears in the field. But the irony of some situations creates a gap with this stunning violence, which gives a funny side of some of his scenes. Tarantino always finds the perfect balance between violence and absurdity. It is enough to know the Marvel character to understand that he can be the man for the job. Wade Wilson kills violently, but often finds himself in unexpected situations, and spice up his executions. The combination between Marvel's craziest character and Tarantino's universe would undoubtedly be explosive.

Tasty dialogues:

Deadpool excels, he is a true master of punchlines. Rob Liefeld and screenwriter Fabian Nicieza have created a character with a triple personality, having the consciousness of being only a fictional character giving him the opportunity to break the fourth wall to address the reader or the viewer. Able to go around in circles like Deadpool while keeping attention, Tarantino has offered us during his career memorable lines of dialogue and monologues, like that of Samuel L Jackson in The 8 Bastards. They are often completely mind-blowing and terribly irreverent.

A marginalized character:

Deadpool is clearly on the fringes of his environment. Whether it's the society in which he operates, or the code of conduct of his superheroic colleagues, he follows his own path. Quentin Tarantino always chooses characters who go against the grain. Whether it's his robbers from Reservoir Dogs or the various protagonists of Pulp Fiction, none of them respect authority. They don't care about laws and rules.

Anyway, it's hard to imagine Tarantino directing Deadpool 2. However, the brilliant director is a big fan of comics and said at the release of the Luke Cage series, that he had hesitated to make a film about the man with the skin of steel instead of Pulp Fiction. Ryan Reynolds even told the Deadpool project that he would love QT to be behind the camera. So simple fantasy of Carl Champion Jr, the creator of the petition, which has almost already collected 5000 signatures, or possible reality? Time will tell.
