July 13, 2018, all France watching the Tour de France. All France? Not! A handful of diehard fans flock to Youtube to discover the trailer of Asterix: the secret of the magic potion. Written and co-directed by Alexandre Astier (Kaamelott), the next Asterix film will be made in 3D animation. The graphics and the team of the Domain of the Gods are back for this new opus. If we believe the trailer, humor will also be very present. This future film should combine the comedy and the spirit of adventure that made the success of Goscinny and Uderzo's comics. Enough to straighten the bar of the franchise after the last disappointing albums . We hope that the success of Asterix and the Domain of the Gods (almost 3 million admissions, ranked among the 10 most successful French films in theaters in 2015) will be back at the rendezvous.

Unlike the Domain of the Gods, Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion is based on an original screenplay written by Alexandre Astier. Panoramix, the druid of the village, makes a bad fall while trying to pick mistletoe from a tree. His injury allows him to realize the terrible truth: he is no longer young. His disappearance would be a real blow to the village: the Gauls would lose a friend, a druid and the magic potion. A potion that gives superhuman strength and for which only Panoramix knows the recipe. For the moment, helped by the eternal Asterix and Obelix, Panoramix goes in search of a disciple to whom to transmit all his knowledge. A great adventure awaits our three heroes. Christian Clavier will be the voice of Asterix. Obelix is voiced by Guillaume Briat and Bernard Alane lends his voice to Panoramix.
