Ubisoft announced in early December the development of a virtual reality experience to be used aboard a Renault autonomous vehicle.
Thus, this experiment is currently being tested a hundred kilometers north of Paris, on a stretch of motorway, where even Renault is carrying out its tests for its SYMBIOZ vehicle.This vehicle is an autonomous prototype running on electricity and drives in real conditions.
Ubisoft has therefore developed a virtual reality experience inviting the driver to escape when he wants to be driven by the Renault SYMBIOZ Demo Car autonomous system. The driver then finds himself in a universe transporting him to the representation of the vehicle and the road to … Unimaginable and evolving landscapes! Indeed, the Ubisoft experience manages to reproduce in real time speed variations, lane changes and vehicles around you.As you have understood, it is a question of making the driver completely forget that he is in a car on the highway.
