Season7 of the Rainbow Six Pro League begins this week in the four regions of the world concerned: Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America & North America.
It is North America that will kick off this 7th season of Pro League from March 13 with a promising opposition between the finalists of the Six Invitational: Evil Geniuses and Ronin (formerly Onslaught). Then it will be Asia-Pacific's turn with the launch of local tournaments in Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. From Wednesday, March 14, Latin America will see a 100% Brazilian duel with Black Dragons and Red Canids (formerly MyP eSports). Finally, to end this first week of Season 7 of Pro League, the European Championship will offer a match between the two teams that opened the Six Invitational 2018: the world champions PENTA Sports against the French from Vitality (composed of former Supremacy players).
This is the third year of Pro Legue Rainbow Six that begins with this season 7. This is the last season following the initial 3-month format before the implementation of the new Pro League format announced last January. From Season 8 (June 2018), each Year will now consist of 2 Seasons of 6 months of Pro League. You can find more information on the official website of the competition. This 7thseason will end with the finals in the United States bringing together the 8 best Pro League teams from around the world. Full details of this event will be presented soon.
As a reminder, Year 2 ended last February with the Six Invitational 2018, the first professional event of the game bringing together the 16 best Pro League teams – from around the world – with a cash prize of $ 500,000. Ubisoft took this opportunity to celebrate the game's anniversary and bring together fans, professional players, developers and streamers in Montreal. The event was a great success by reaching record figures with a total of more than 6.2 million hours watched on all broadcast channels!
