NecroVision is a first-person shooter (FPS) game released for PC in 2009. It was developed by The Farm 51 (Painkiller: Hell & Damnation, Deadfall Adventures) and published by 1C Entertainment, 1C Company, Aspyr and 505 Games.

NecroVision reinvents the First World War

In NecroVision, the player takes on the role of Simon Bukner, an American soldier who came to Europe to help fight against the Germans in World War I. The originality of the game lies in the fact that German soldiers are far from being the biggest threat to the hero. A German scientist, Zimmerman, has managed to rally demonic powers to his cause that will have to be confronted. The player is thus led to face Nazis, zombie Nazis and demons of all kinds. Fans of the Dead Snow and Outpost movies will be more than delighted! The twelve chapters take Simon Bukner from the trenches to the underworld. The story is gradually revealed both through cutscenes and notes that the player can find on his way. Rich in surprises, the scenario holds in suspense until the very end. Trenches

Varied and eventful fights

In good FPS, NecroVision offers a satisfactory choice of weapons to the player. These weapons range from the most classic rifles (used in the First World War) and hand-to-hand combat to magical weapons. Some good surprises even await the player in some levels. The combo use of the different attacks gradually fills an adrenaline gauge, which slows down time. These combos also increase the level of fury, which holds some surprises and can prove to be of great help. For all this hustle and bustle, a fatigue gauge exhausts the hero when he runs a little too much. The gameplay of the main mode of NecroVision is smooth, enjoyable and does not leave time for the player to get bored. The many automatic saves greatly limit the frustration of failures during battles. Weapons In addition to the story mode, a multiplayer mode allows up to 16 players to play locally or online . This mode is however less satisfying and much less varied than the story mode. NecroVision also offers players challenge rooms. The goal, as the name suggests, is to achieve many challenges of varying difficulty. Within a given period of time, the player must kill a certain number of enemies in a well-defined manner. This makes it possible to unlock weapons for the main mode. This is a more than satisfying mode for those who love above all the fights offered by the game. Challenge Room

NecroVision, a fantasy-comic universe

The different chapters of NecroVision are very successful, with immersive and varied scenery. The path in the heart of the levels is absolutely not complicated and it is difficult to get lost. The focus is on the variety of enemies, always more surprising. The violence of the fights mixed with a story that constantly makes players want to move forward and learn more give a steady pace for a very suitable duration of play. Simon Bukner is an endearing and pleasant hero. The game sometimes takes a rather comical turn, which is due in particular to the often ridiculous dubbing due to the exaggerated accents of the characters. A little surprising and off-putting at first, this aspect of NecroVision partly contributes to its endearing and completely offbeat side. Spider NecroVision is a good quality FPS that allows fans of the genre to have a good time and only bodes well for its sequel NecroVision: Lost Company.
