Blizzard and the Overwatch team are excited to celebrate 2 years of the game! Thus, an anniversary event will be planned from May 22 to June 12 to the delight of players.
This anniversary will offer a lot of new content including the addition of the new Petra deathfight map or more than 50 new ornamental items. This event will also allow players to find ornamental objects from past seasons including the players' favorite dance emotes on the last anniversary. A diverse and varied content that will especially bring players the opportunity to play on the new Petra map, a specific map of deathfight! A deathfight system that will also include a new competitive mode (placement game, competition levels and ranking) to the delight of seasoned competitors.
But that's not all, all players who log in to the Birthday event will get as a gift 1 free legendary birthday chest that contains 1 guaranteed legendary item. In addition, for the duration of the event all event loot from past seasons will be included in the chests.
In order to allow everyone to enjoy this event, Overwatch will be free for the duration of a weekend that will take place from May 25 to 29. And for the biggest fans, a new collector's version of Overwatch : the Legendary edition will be available digitally from May 22nd. It will include a total of 15 models of legendary and epic origin.
