Epic Games announced during The Game Awards the arrival of a new "50 versus 50" mode for Fortnite Battle Royale.
In this temporary mode, available until December 17, there will be only two teams, composed of 50 players each. As with any Battle Royale, the battle ends when one of the two teams is totally wiped out. Rest assured, the task will be very slightly simplified, since the friendly fire is disabled on this mode. You will have to start this type of game in squad, allowing you to communicate with 4 of your partners. Communication for the whole team is not available.
Epic Games took advantage of this evening to announce that their Battle Royale continued to grow with more than 30 million players registered since the release of the game and with a new record of simultaneous users: 1.3 million ! To continue growing, other game modes are already planned.
As a reminder, Fortnite Battle Royale is available for free on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. We leave you with the trailer of this new game mode …
