Bitter fruit, suddenly becoming sweet in the mouth?

This is the bet that it is given the three young leaders of the company WowBerry. Indeed, Victor, Romain and Guillaume have embarked on a war against sugar.

It is after a trip to Ghana that Guillaume returns with the sole goal: to market miraculin.Synsepalum dulcificum called miracle berry is a small red fruit native to West Africa. Indeed, it grows on a tree of the Sapotaceae family, mainly in Ghana. This fruit has the virtue of changing the perception of bitter, tangy and unsweet tastes. Thus, it softens them making them sweet.

I was in Ghana on a trip. I was welcomed by a family, one evening we go to dessert and it is precisely there that I crunched my first miracle berry!

In Ghana, they use this small berry to soften the taste of unripe fruits. And here in the West, what do we do with this bay?

Infinite exploitation potential for WowBerry

Nothing stops them anymore. Recently, we met them during a cooking session in Lyon at InCuisine. The bet they set out to take? Cook a lemon pie without any sugar. But the bet seems impossible…However, you only have to see the result, for you to understand that in the mouth it was an explosion.

These leaders who integrate ethics from their launch

Recently, Victor, who has just returned from a three-month internship in Brazil for a social innovation project, tells us that he does not see himself developing his business without having a positive social and environmental impact.

The idea is to set up a production cycle based on fair trade. We are also working on a partnership with associations for the accessibility of water for all!

Other than that, the products are GMO and pesticide-free. In addition, WowBerry undertakes not to modify its production speed that could alter the quality of the fruit.
