Dear escape game fans, this week we are going to talk about an escape game that our regular readers will recognize: Majestic Escape Game. The team and I were able to test the "Atlantis" room, so follow us in this adventure.
An escape game in the heart of Paris
Located a stone's throw from Châtelet les Halles, this escape that participated in the creation of escape game books, offers for the moment two original scenarios (a third is being created), imagined by the managers of the brand.
From the lobby, the theme of escape jumps out at you: you enter an art deco cinema, and each adventure proposed is a cinema session in perfect immersion.
Armed with our popcorn, our sharp mind and under the watchful eye of the game master, we head towards the test that is proposed to us, expecting an escape certainly original, but all in all classic in its execution … Monumental mistake on our part!
A breathtaking room!
The first sensation we felt when we entered the room was a stunner in front of the sets: they are of phenomenal quality. Without describing them, so as not to spoil your first impression, know that they would not stain in the middle of a Disneyland Paris attraction. Whether it's the lighting, the texture of the walls and sets, the details of the interactive elements or the sound atmosphere, the smallest detail contributes to immersion in the world of the room. Some gimmicks are so insidious, that it took us more than 40 minutes before we realized their presence.
Here, instead of communicating with the game master by means of any screen or voice announcement, you have a touch watch that can at any time transfer messages or images to point you in the right direction. This very original gadget seduced us as soon as we laid eyes on it.
Regarding the tests, although quite few, they are very well paced and seem to use each time the entire space of the room for their resolution.
The few elements to be found may put off some players who prefer the search to the puzzles, but the quality of the latter and the absence of superfluous elements will counterbalance any criticisms we may have about this room.
The team and I were amazed by the effort put into creating this room, and let's test their second room as soon as possible.
