Set up since February 2019, the Culture Pass was proposed by the Ministry of Culture in order to extend the cultural offer of 18-year-olds "by breaking down the barriers that too often limit the dissemination of artistic and cultural practices". Although it is being experimented, it is currently available in 14 departments and is aimed at nearly 150,000 young people.
How can I access the offer?
To register, go here. You will have to create an account and activate it by clicking on the link sent via your mailbox. Then, you will access a pre-registration platform to file the requested documents. After submitting your application, you will receive within a maximum of one month a link to activate your Pass Culture account. It is not available in the App Store or Google Play to integrate it as an app. You need to create a shortcut on your device. The Culture Pass is valid for two years from the activation period of the account.
How does it work?
At first, it presents itself as an application to the ergonomics of Tinder. The user holds a credit of 500 euros that he spends on many digital cultural offers, physical, for courses, festivals … They are all capped at 200 euros in order to promote the cultural diversity of the different activities. The offers adapt to the geographical location of the young person. They offer activities to do alone or in pairs. When you swipe up, you then have access to the various information of the offer (the price, the nature of the offer, the details of the offer, its date and location). After booking, the app submits a code as proof of purchase that the person will need to present to access it. However, you can cancel the reservation as long as you have not provided your code. You will then be recredited.
