Yum! Today, we went to discover what was behind this enigmatic pastry fair. At the rendezvous, pastries to delight our eyes and our taste buds and Pierre Hermé as honorary president. It makes you want all that!

It's 10 o'clock. The doors of the pastry fair open and hordes of gourmands are ready to invade the place. First observation: the public was present for this first pastry fair.

This show was born from an observation noticed by pastry chefs and creative geniuses: there are many salons, but pastry does not have much for it. And we agree, it would be a shame if such a heritage remained in a chest!

The pastry fair therefore aims to be the great event highlighting the talents of our artisans and the flavors of our terroirs. This is the perfect opportunity for amateurs and professionals to meet. It is a place where the traditions and knowledge of pastry can be transmitted through a multitude of recipes. Visitors will also be able to get their hands dirty by creating their own pastries that are "beautiful to look at, good to share and taste".
As soon as we enter the show, we discover Les Belles Envies, a pastry chef who invites you to give in to pleasure, but with a controlled glycemic index! Tasty and innovative, it has something to please!

We also see Mic Mac macaron, a pastry chef who creates very original macarons. Among these macaroons we can find those with violet-licorice, banana-ginger and even unicorn tears for unicorn lovers.

The show also wants to highlight national products from metropolitan France and even the DOM-TOM. We have an example with Moulin de Versailles, a miller since the 19th century that is located in the heart of Versailles and offers French products such as flours or preparations for bread, pastry and cooking. We were able to taste the result of one of their preparations for chocolate fluffy: delicate and unctuous. Not to mention Cur'caraïbe, production of Guadeloupe which presents to gourmands, its turmeric ginger syrup.

Throughout the show, workshops are offered to visitors who would like to get their hands dirty while discovering the secrets of the great chefs.

We were also able to attend a tasting conference where the goal was to practice taste and especially to appreciate different flavors. A unique experience.

The favorites are numerous, but some mark the spirits more than others. We can mention the tasty and authentic chocolate made in Madagascar, from the plantation to the finished product, by the Robert chocolate factory. Orthe Chooka drink that combines the hibiscus flower and the virtues of fresh fruit juices to invite us to enjoy a well-being approach, in a purely sensory journey.

Did you know that 35% of French people let themselves be tempted by pastry at least once a week? So, why not let yourself be tempted by the pastry fair?
