Antipodes is a New Zealand cosmetics brand that offers 100% natural beauty products, and certified organic at more than 70%.
Being a model, I am used to discovering new products like those of the Antipodes brand that caught my attention. It was during a shooting, the makeup artist used the "divine face oil" as a makeup base. She said to apply it with foundation to brighten the face. I liked the smell, the texture, the packaging. I then decided to take a closer look.
After this shooting, I went on the net to discover more about Antipodes. The brand insists on the "natural" aspect of the products. On each of them we find the mention "Connect with nature". Antipodes assures that these are certified natural and organic products, that they are tested, approved, and all the tralala to convince us.
Initially, I only thought I would buy this famous divine oil, but I read a lot of positive reviews about them, and above all, I discovered that they offered a light day cream, which is perfect for me! Because this cream does not contain "paraffinum liquidum" like most other face or body creams you buy.
But what is paraffinum liquidum?
It is paraffin oil (Vaseline type) obtained by heating it to collect as much material as possible. It's his fat in a way. This makes it possible to fill the jars with cream with an ingredient that has no real use except to clog the pores of the skin. I discovered this deception thanks to a friend who worked in the laboratories of L'Oréal. Basically, if you see the name paraffinum liquidum in the composition of a cream, know that it contains at least 50% and that you are fooled.
So Antipodes convinced me, and I placed an order. For a first try, I ordered the "Divine Face Oil", the day cream "Rejoice", and the toner "Resurrect". Here are my opinions.
Divine Face Oil
It is an oil composed mainly of avocado oil, jojoba oil and rosehip (it is the transformation of the conceptacle of the rose). Its texture is not too oily, the skin absorbs it very quickly, and its smell is pleasant. It is a boost of hydration that repairs the condition of the skin, improves its elasticity, all with a strong antioxidant power. I discovered about rosehip which contains twenty times more vitamin C than citrus fruits.
I apply a few drops in the evening before my night cream, about 3 times a week, and my skin is soft when I wake up.
The Rejoice Day Cream
Also called "light day cream", as I explained, I did not hesitate to buy it.
I think I've finally found the cream I need. Its smell is very sweet. Even if it seems thick when coming out of the tube, its application is easy and pleasant. You feel immediate hydration without saturating the skin. Its texture is light. It does not leave a greasy film.
Rejoice cream is also rich in avocado oil, and manuka oil, the famous magical plant that grows in New Zealand, also known as tea-tree, and has antiseptic and restorative properties. It's simple, I love it! Its price is 52 euros for the 125 ml, which is the same price as the other creams I have been able to use so far (Caudalie, Clinique), except that the one of Antipodes is the only one I recommend.
Resurrect tonic lotion
It is said that this lotion helps reduce the appearance of skin pores, which is what convinced me to buy it. Again, this product smells good without having a strong smell, so this product also does not seem saturated with perfume. Its texture is very light and pleasant. Every time I spray it on my face, I feel refreshed and hydrated. I don't really realize if my pores are less visible, but I enjoy the refreshing feel it provides.
I use it in the morning by spraying it before applying my day cream. This helps to wake up my skin gently. Sometimes I apply it in the evening on a cotton pad to perfect the make-up removal and to tone my skin.
Since Antipodes has taken its place in my daily routine, I can say that the condition of my skin has improved. I have fewer small pimples, the skin is soft, the grain is delicate.
