From an early age, Sophie Lawani-Wesley was a fashion fan and admired the outfits of the stars in vogue: Madonna, Prince, etc. At the same time, her mother collects colorful shawls that complement her sober working girl outfits. After training at Studio Berçot where her talents for color and pattern are revealed, it is not surprising that several years later, Sophie felt the need to create her own line of shawls and bandanas simply named: By Solawa. Each model is drawn by hand, in watercolor, following artistic and exotic inspirations. After assembling the patterns on a computer, the high-quality printing and in small series is done in Italy in a company well known to Haute Couture houses, on wool and silk or silk fabrics.
