As surprising as it may seem, most girls don't know how to use remover to remove their varnish. I admit that before I became a detail model, I didn't know that either. The technique that we all know is very simple: a piece of cotton soaked in solvent that is placed on the nail varnished, rubbed and removed.
Result: pigments are deposited in the hollow of the nails, on the small skins. Rubbing also makes the pigments penetrate into the nail itself. This is not very serious when the varnish you wear is beige. But as soon as we have applied a more pigmented varnish, such as red or blue, then it is the display of pigment assured. And we have the fingertips all red.
So how should the solvent be used?
Take cotton discs that you cut into 6 or 8 using a chisel.
Soak them completely with solvent. I advise you to bring a solvent pump that can be found at Peggy Sage or other. It's very convenient. This avoids spilling its pot of solvent… It's happened to all of us at least once.
Place a piece of cotton wool on each nail with one hand.
Tap each piece for at least 20 seconds to get the solvent under the varnish.
Leave the pieces on for a few minutes while tapping lightly.
The more pigmented and thick your varnish, the longer the application time.
Pull the cotton pieces one by one from the base of the nail to the edge. If the application time is sufficient, the entire varnish is removed at once. Otherwise, leave on for a few more minutes. Thus, the varnish is removed at once without pigmenting the nail or skins.
To remove varnish residues on the sides, simply wrap a little cotton at the end of a boxwood stick and soak it with solvent. It is then easier to access under the nails or in the corners.
To complete the whole, soak in solvent a last piece of cotton that you will pass on each of your nails.
Do not forget to wash your hands directly because even acetone-free solvents are still toxic and flammable products.
The remover always damages the top layer of the nail and dries out the skin. So never hesitate to put oil on your cuticles and cream on your hands once you have washed them.
