You dreamed of it, Meian editions did it! The manga Kingdom will arrive in France in 2018!
When a publisher teases a new title in its catalog it is not uncommon for the tweetosphere to ask each time if it is not Kingdom. This iconic Japanese title that traces a piece of the history of China at the time of the Warring States is one of the most prominent titles on the dark side of the web. Enriched by an anime adaptation broken down into 2 seasons (in 2012 and 2014) which represent 77 episodes, this work is more than a gamble, since today the manga has 50 volumes bound in Japan ! It is therefore difficult to think that a French publisher would bet his marbles on it, especially when we know the graphic touch of the rather particular title and the non-popularity of historical works in France.

Synopsis :
In the China of the Warring States era that goes from the fifth century B.C. until the unification of the Chinese kingdoms by the Qin dynasty in 221 BC. We follow the young Shin on his path to the fulfillment of his dream of becoming a Great General. Shin is from the state of Qin, plagued by many upheavals both inside and outside the kingdom. Through the story of Shin, we also follow the story of Ei Sei, the man who would later be known as Qin Shi Huang, unifier of China.

In any case, the publisher shows that he will have many other news to announce on Kingdom on June 30 of this year as indicated by their attached banner!
For the moment, the official release date is quite abstract as well as the price of the volumes, but we already know that the title will be exclusively on their stand during Japan Expo and that the pace of publication will be two volumes per month to catch up as quickly as possible with the Japanese publication.
