Unveiled at the What's next conference at Kazé last June, the manga The Promised Neverland is revealed a little more while its release is scheduled for spring 2018. It is one of the hit headlines of Weekly Shonen Jump, despite its particularly dark atmosphere, which would have nothing to envy Hokuto no Ken.
Here, no magic or supernatural. Yet the world described is fantastic and cruel. Launched in 2016, this manga marks a revival in classic shonen by highlighting children, who will have to rely more on their gray matter than on their fists or their special abilities. A manga that is reminiscent of similar themes, cruelty and beauty of Made in Abyss.
