A well-made parody
The drama Ossan's Love, tells us the daily life of several colorful characters in an ordinary daily life. Through Haruta is the whole concept of boy's love that is exploited with a lot of humor, far from complexes but, always within the limits of the correct. This man claims to be straight but, from thread to needle, we end up asking for it! The pitch pushes our hero into the arms of two suitors a little particular and very different. On the one hand, it is Chief Kurosawa, twenty years older, who is interested in him while he is married.
Then we have Maki a colleague in his twenties and therefore, much younger than Soichi. The series navigates thus, addressing the theme of the generational gap, security in a couple, feelings or homosexuality in everyday life. As we know, the country does not appreciate its couples but, here it remains good-natured and in a world apart. Haruta is a naive person who starts in the field of love and as a result, we have the impression of seeing a young woman in the middle of a love dilemma. However, it is not only for lovers of boy's love car, remaining in the line of a shonen-ai.
Indecision
The whole plot revolves around the main protagonist namely Soichi, a man sorely lacking in self-confidence, love experience and not knowing how to live alone. After, such an approach we can only sympathize in addition to suspecting that, it will play many tricks more or less fun. We could have expected a rather bland performance but, the actor does well by evolving his character.
Maki, is an actor that we see a lot lately but, it is a first to see him in such a role of composition. By playing a younger colleague but, unlike Haruta the machine works well while playing on our heartstrings. His character is both strong and fragile while bringing serious subjects and thoughtful revelations.
Ah! This dear real estate manager Kurosawa decidedly we have been on the verge of fits of laughter at each of his countless appearances. All the same, at his age to come out then, that he spent thirty years being straight, the gesture is very noble. Especially since poor Harutan is far from understanding everything he offers him, making the situations ambiguous.
Other actors come to interact with this love triangle, bringing other equally humorous situations. The presence of Choko, Kurosawa's wife who does not know who her husband's lover is. Chizu Soichiro's childhood friend hiding her feelings towards him. Or Takekawa the ex-boyfriend of Maki are there in support, while bringing a significant plus to the complex choices of our core of men!
Any audience
Ossan's Love, is a good comedy taking up the codes of most boy's love in a collegial atmosphere. You don't have to enjoy the genre to watch it, you just have to be open-minded to have a good time. The themes are meant to be light, like a classic romance except that it revolves around three men. There are still questions about tolerance, couple life, financial security, announcing to loved ones about his sexuality, etc. Much more than a classic plot is the life of several characters, which is presented with a lot of humor certainly but also subject to debate! The story does not shine because of its originality, it has a lot of clichés, is not always credible yet, the format is pleasant.
We did not see the time spent while being surprised to have reached the end quickly. The actors are endearing and well developed, gossip within the company brings spice up. The workplace is mostly present without doing too much; helping the main romance move forward. Finally, the conclusion of the series remains in the same perspective of expected, bringing a more or less predictable outcome but, which could not be otherwise!
The J-Drama Ossan's Love, is a good surprise for the followers of the boy 's love who will find the ingredients specific to the register. It is not, however, exclusively reserved for BL fans; It is enough to be tolerant to be interested in this romance not so far from the usual standards!
