Love as an eraser
We had already mentioned the drama but our opinion would not be complete without this film that closes it! One might think that it is imperative to have seen the drama to understand the film. Yet the two can look at each other independently of each other. Of course, it is more than appreciable to have seen the drama to better understand the characters and their respective stories. Especially for Makio is his rather strange personality. However, with the many flashbacks present in the film we could almost do without it! The main themes being love and its difficulties in finding happiness; Fans of the genre will find all the necessary ingredients for its success. It is also a beautiful story that is not content to follow a classic pattern. She also talks about the challenges and choices we make on a daily basis and for the love of our half! Each new challenge encountered by Rei and Kira is a new step taken thanks to their mutual love!
Love & Hate
Everyone who saw the drama had stayed a bit on their ending with the character of Makio and his ambiguous obsession with Rei. This time, your wait will be rewarded at its fair value! Indeed, Makio will be much more manipulative and evil, finally revealing his goal. A goal that will prove to have tragic and unexpected consequences vis-à-vis our couple. In addition, the ambiguity of Makio's feelings (remember the resuscitation scene between Rei and Makio) will only increase our suspicions of him. Kira will find herself facing a young man living in a reality very different from theirs. Yet they will face it as always, with courage, strength and with their heads held high. Kira will experience her past again (she collects troubles…) thus addressing the subject of domestic rape; Unspeakable and frowned upon subject even today. As for Rei, how will he take this discovery? And what will be the consequences for the future? Strong characters, weak but, also endearing that make the plot more alive.
A very nice romance
Overall we are easily taken by the plot and its characters having a certain depth. The film focuses mainly as drama on a core character (Rei, Kira and Makio) with nevertheless Kira's confidante (Sugiura Harumi) and Rei's best friend (Kida Tatsuya). And fortunately they are present because sometimes, we have this impression of being in an enclosed space far from reality! Although their appearances are few, seeing them gives a more lively and relaxing side to the story. The final meanwhile, will raise the adrenaline and may surprise some! Unless you know the manga available at Panini Manga or the Taiwanese version released in 2004 with Barbie Xu (Meteor Garden) and Vic Zhou (Black & White). A very well made film that is aimed at lovers of beautiful romance loving the twists and themes specific to the evolution of a sentimental relationship!
Lovers of romance or simple desire to see the continuation of the drama Mars, do not hesitate you will surely find something to have a great time!
