A Japan in full apocalypse
Hideo, our main protagonist is an anti-hero who has so far accomplished nothing in his current life. He can't launch his career as a mangaka as he would like and his relationship with his girlfriend, Tekko, is conflictual. Besides, she ends up getting tired of him… However, his destiny, which seemed to reduce him to a life without love or success, will be turned upside down. Indeed, the arrival of its monsters: the ZNQ is providential. The fight will not be easy since his zombies are much more powerful than an ordinary human being. Although Hideo is a true cowardly and lacks self-confidence, we understand how he may feel and the difficulties of dealing with such an emergency. Survival becomes the driving force of the film, bringing with it a surge of hope that will give birth to a hero despite!
Humanity at its worst
The film plunges us into a devastated Japan that has become the target of zombies that continue to multiply causing a mass death of the inhabitants. While the government is powerless in the face of this unprecedented threat; Men have no choice but to survive in this hostile place. If Hideo is our starting point we will not fail to follow other characters who will be added to our duo. Speaking of Hiromi, her character would have gained intensity if she hadn't been content to sleep for almost the entire film; which is regrettable! Nurse Yabu, on the other hand, gains importance with the progress of events, moving from secondary role to that of lead actress; stealing the show from Hiromi. Finally, let's not forget the performance of zombies which for the most part have specificities of their own and that we invite you to discover. Our favorite is also the ZNQ acrobat who surprised us with his performances, and made us laugh and especially gave us cold sweats!
A great show
A well-made adaptation that does not forget to raise the adrenaline of the spectators. In addition, the actors are good and the creatures very realistic with close-ups that can sometimes be chilling. We have empathy, we vibrate, we fulminate at the obvious distress of its survivors delivered to the undead. However, the film itself remains accessible, however, addressing an audience accustomed to spending moments of tension to more humorous moments! The supernatural register leads us to ask existential questions about what we would do in the place of these people.
A Live film that brilliantly dosed the codes of horror while bringing touches of laughter with an anti-hero as we appreciate them so much. If zombies are your daily bread and you haven't seen this one yet or hesitate, we recommend it!
