[Report] KOKIA – Live streaming from 04 April 2020

Last Saturday, KOKIA offered us a 45-minute live show streaming on its Facebook page. We were more than 1,100 people connected at the same time to share this fabulous gift. Let's go back to this moment of magic!

After a few seconds of adjustments, KOKIA welcomes us with his smile and his usual kindness. We meet her from her studio in Tokyo. This is the first time she offers a live via a mobile phone. She was also a little worried about whether everything would work well! She nevertheless spoke with her characteristic natural tone and offered us a nice entrance speech:

"First of all, I would like to say hello: konbanwa (good evening), konnichiwa (hello), ohayō gozaimasu (good morning), here KOKIA. Nice to meet you. I've never done a live with a mobile phone, but the internet is a wonderful thing because it allows us to be all together. Listen, enjoy. Do not hesitate to comment, to introduce yourself, to say where you come from. Thank you for watching me today, it's a real pleasure to do a live streaming from my studio in Tokyo. The world has been going a little crazy lately, and forgive me if I can't find the right words to describe this delicate situation that we all go through, no matter where we are. Now may not be the time to enjoy music but I believe that music can help us lighten our soul and spirit so, as a musician, I wanted to sing for you and for myself to help our souls overcome this together. Anyway, let me sing you something."

Our journey begins on 小さなうた (Chiisa na uta)

A song that couldn't come at a better time because it tells us that if a song could change the world, it would be very simple. It is also a song of love, hope and kindness. Here is the opportunity to discover it with an English translation included:
