The start of September will be hot at Glénat Manga. Two big licenses on the program: Tokyo Revengers and Dr. Stone. In addition to these big releases, you can also find the continuation of some quality series and intriguing novelties like Ashidaka The Iron Hero.
Glénat Manga: The big licenses
Dr. Stone is one of those original shonen whose ratings have exploded lately. The anime adaptation that you can see via Crunchyroll fully transcribes the particular atmosphere of the manga. Science is in the spotlight in this atypical story that contrasts with the usual stories. In Volume 12, the entire science village embarks on the construction of a ship. Their goal? A treasure island… We change graphic universe with the 8th volume of Tokyo Revengers. The manga written and drawn by Ken Wakui is becoming more and more popular. Two adaptation projects are underway, a live action film and an animated series. The pitch is not the most singular since it calls for a return in time. The classic plot, however, knows no downtime. Our protagonists evolve in the middle of high school gangs. The furyos of that era still have a certain sense of honor. We take great pleasure in discovering the evolution of these young teenagers in today's society. Make way for a cult series, Ranma 1/2 – First edition – Volume 16. Rumiko Takahashi's masterpiece continues its path at the publisher. The perfect opportunity for new generations to immerse themselves in a quality franchise. The feature film Battle Alita has allowed many people to take an interest in the manga Gunm. Glénat Manga continues the reissue of this other reference with Gunnm Last Order – First Edition – Volume 10.
New products for the new school year: Ashidaka – The Iron Hero / L'Oxalis et l'or
One of the curiosities of September is called Ashidaka – the Iron Hero. The talented Ryo Sumiyoshi is at the helm. Her versatility makes her an artist capable of taking on different challenges. This Shonen ranks in the world of cyperpunk. Humanity possesses two additional arms of steel because of a Homeric battle between two entities. Some humans have extra arms. They are called multi-arms. Ashidaka is one of those special beings. He survives by hunting the droids that populate the planet. The universe of Nausicaa seems to be one of the possible references of this work.
In the midst of the gold rush
We jump into a completely different register with Oxalis and gold. A story that takes place in Ireland in the 19th century. Amelia and Conor, two teenagers are hard hit by the Great Famine. They decide to do everything to go to the United States. The manga is acclaimed by the authors of two of the best historical manga released in recent years: Golden Kamui and Vinland Saga. Two projects that plunge us into the heart of Japan and the Viking Age. They are both adapted into an animated series. It's hard not to be tempted by the outings of Glénat.
