In a protracted pandemic situation, the lack of sport is felt. Pika editions think of all sports enthusiasts by programming two quality series. The first is called Karate Heat, the second is called En Garde. Two works that explore combat sports.  Sport occupies a prominent place at the publisher. In September 2019, Pika launched a new label called Sport Addict. An opportunity for sports enthusiasts to discover several sports disciplines such as rugby, judo or swimming. Until now, the catalog included Full Drum, Swimming Ace and Uchikomi. Now let's focus on the next two titles.

En Garde: Dive into the world of fencing

It is interesting to discover a sports manga that addresses a new theme. The first volume reveals the daily life of Chika, a young teenager with a strong character. She struggles to find her way. One day, she happened to attend fencing training. A click occurs… This is the beginning of a great adventure. A first excerpt of the manga En Garde is online on Pika's official website. Chika turns out to be a character with a thousand facets. Nothing seems to frighten this high school student who does not hesitate to take up challenges. Tokihiko Tamaru's style fully embraces the dynamic movements of this unique sport. Olympic fans are familiar with the world of fencing. The France team has often been rewarded as the Olympiads progressed. Fencing is a demanding sport where different skills are mandatory to be able to progress.
