Minetaro Mochizuki and his disaster work Dragon Head will once again be honored at Pika Edition with a brand new edition! Indeed, the publisher has just announced that one of the founding manga of the apocalyptic genre was going to be reprinted in its Pika Graphic category.
Dragon Head, an essential classic!
Dragon Head was originally a manga pre-published in Kodansha's Young Magazine in 1995. The series arrived in France in 2001. Completed in 10 volumes by Pika Edition, the series was republished in 2017 in the Pika Graphic category. This time, the series is composed of only 5 volumes since it is double volume. A second reprint is therefore planned for next year and this edition will benefit from a new cover illustration. "A large format ideal to appreciate the darkness of the atmosphere of this descent into hell imagined by Minetaro Mochizuki". Volume 1 will be available from January 13, 2021 at a price of €20.
During a trip organized by a school, a train derails in a tunnel. The accident, whose cause seems as unpredictable as it is unusual, is so brutal that all the passengers of the train die instantly, except two boys and a girl. Téru, Nobuo and Ako, three survivors find themselves buried under the rubble of the tunnel and are distraught when they discover all the horror of reality. An agonizing lock-up slowly takes place, showing the reaction of the three young students to the chaos.
