Blood, more and more blood…?

Gay Sword The first episodes plunge us into a world where demons can take possession of objects and especially weapons. Many swords are therefore possessed by entities that have only one objective, to kill! We therefore discover from the first minutes the effects of such power on man. Indeed, we witness the loss of control of several characters, invaded by a demonic power, leaving only room for madness and blood. We therefore invite those who would not appreciate the violent scenes or the presence of blood to go their way. These scenes are an integral part of the series. On the animation side, the graphics are appreciable, without being extraordinary. Indeed, some passages are in 3D, but the realization is not always very neat.

An anime with potential?

Gay Sword It is true that we only watched 3 episodes out of the 12 composing the first part of the series. However, it is not uncommon to form an opinion on the beginning of a series. Regarding Sword Gai The Animation, we remain mixed. Indeed, we must admit that the synopsis made us want to discover this story about demons. Although the basis of the story is not very original, it remains a theme very appreciated by the general public. However, the fact that different characters were presented at the same time without them actually being exploited makes the scenario more difficult to understand. Moreover, it is also difficult to find the anime's guideline. The link between the various scenes is also very blurred and can lead us to wonder about the coherence of certain scenes. It is a shame to ask these kinds of questions from the first episodes of a series. In addition, the fights presented so far have no real interest since they last only a few seconds. Indeed, it has not been possible for us to appreciate the power that these swords can confer since the moments when they are activated are not highlighted. We hope to enjoy real demonic combat in the rest of the series.   Although Sword Gai is not exceptional, it is still appreciable with good potential. How will the story and our hero evolve in the next episodes? While waiting to discover the rest of Gai's adventures, we invite you to dive into a very different register with Pluto, by Naoki Urasawa !
